Pier was briefed to implement a social media strategy for the Greene King Brewery and Old Speckled Hen channels.
We achieved some impressive results, with a combined overall reach of 31.5m and an overall combined average engagement rate of 9.75%.
Our strategy helped uplift the brand social channels and drove trial of the products through sales from the online shop.
Brought on board during the 2020 lockdown, Pier’s mission was to implement a social media strategy for the Greene King Brewery and Old Speckled Hen channels, to drive channel engagement and put the brand’s beverages at the forefront of ale drinker’s minds for the at home drinking occasion, ultimately driving sales from the online shop.
Pier captured new photography on a regular basis to highlight key drinking occasions and seasonal changes to ensure the channels were kept looking fresh, while fun and shareable graphics were created to prompt audience interaction and offer entertainment to followers. We also implemented daily community engagements to build follower relationships and gain insight to the audience’s content preferences.
High engagement figures were achieved through awarding the loyal audiences with competitions that used straight-forward entry mechanics to ensure accessibility amongst followers, which further strengthened community relationships.
Pier’s work achieved strong results for the brands, such as an uplift in engagements by +109% on the Greene King Brewery Facebook page, an important channel due to its existing loyal audiences.
