Yes, we have lots of fun, yes, we love a team away day, and yes, we have a constant stream of office snacks on offer (did anyone say food & drink PR perks?!).

But the truth is that meaningful culture evolves over time from an agency’s collective action and passion. At Pier, our agency culture manifests in daily wellbeing check-ins, in how we treat each other both as a team and as individuals, in how we interact with our clients and the importance we place on professional and personal development.

We’re a supportive, friendly team who go the extra mile to deliver campaigns and projects we’re genuinely proud of. But we’re also mindful that everyone has dreams, commitments and ambitions outside of their career, which is why we are flexible with hours, locations and everything in between.

Our team

Meet the brilliant team of creators, thinkers and doers here at Pier. Individually talented and collaboratively award-winning, our decades of experience mean we’re able to provide our clients with a great balance of perspectives that never fail to deliver impact and inspiration.

Plus, we’ve been described as a ‘pleasure to work with’ on several occasions, which we’re pretty chuffed about to be honest.

Wellness sits firmly at the core of every day life at Pier. Whether you’re in need of some collective team cheer on our daily wellbeing check-ins, you’d like to flex your hours to fit with a personal commitment or you’d benefit from some extra support with your mental health, we’ve got your back.

Open, honest conversations about wellness at work will always be encouraged – we want a happy, thriving team and work hard to create an environment that people are proud and excited to work in.

Our commitment to being a responsible business

Our mission statement

Creating exceptional communications with impact and meaning, from an agency rooted in integrity, with people and planet at its heart.

Giving back

We donate 1% of profit to fighting climate change – in 2023 our team donated to The Climate Coalition.

In addition, we also have an annual charity partnership. In 2024 we are partnering with Still Good Food, a food waste charity. Still Good Food saves food from being wasted by redistributing it to their community. Just down the road from our HQ in Suffolk, hard-working volunteers help support both people and planet by rescuing food which is then redistributed through a ‘pay as you feel’ system in their shops. We will be providing fundraising and PR support through the year.

What we've done

  • Work to annual SMART goals, including reducing emissions, use of local suppliers and diversity
  • Monitor our carbon footprint and introduced new measures to reduce our impact
  • Provide employees with a health and wellbeing programme, recognised by a Healthy Workplace Award
  • Achieved PRCA Communications Management System (CMS) accreditation in recognition of our high standards
  • Donate 1% of our profit to fighting climate change

What we're working towards

  • Achieving B-Corp Certification – our aim was to have this in place by 2023. We submitted for assessment in August 2023 and hope to be assessed in 2024
  • Improving our employee diversity performance. You can view our policy on this here.
  • Further reducing our environmental impact
  • Refine our carbon goals with a robust Carbon Reduction Plan
  • Work with more clients in renewable energy
