Coinciding with the demand for on-the-job training across the UK, Pier has appointed Chloe Walden as a PR apprentice with the aim of helping her gain a BTEC Diploma Level 4.
As part of an apprenticeship programme organised in association with the PRCA, Chloe joined Pier as the first step in her PR career. With support from the Pier team, Chloe experiences all areas of agency work, from daily administrative tasks through to writing press releases and selling in stories to media.
PRCA Chief Executive, Francis Ingham, comments, “The qualification has been designed with the highest level of expert input, and I’m confident the PR Apprenticeship Scheme has the potential to change the face of our industry for the better.”
Kate Bowden Smith, Founder and Director of Pier says, “We are excited to be involved with the PRCA apprenticeship scheme as it adds real value to the individual, the agency and the industry as a whole. Chloe is a valuable and enthusiastic member of the team and we are delighted to be assisting in her career development.”
Pier is also pleased to announce that Helen Gilmour is now a fully fledged member of the team following her appointment as Account Executive. Helen joined Pier in June as an intern and joins us permanently after a successful summer assisting across a range of food clients.
