For leading East Anglian PR specialist, Pier, the summer has got off to a busy start as two new appointments and a promotion are announced.
Lyn Peters has been appointed Account Director, Helen Gilmour has been recruited on a PR internship and Sophie French has been promoted to Senior Account Executive.
Lyn and Helen join Pier following a number of significant business wins over recent months. Lyn comes to Pier with 20 years’ experience in public relations gained across a range of clients, including Sands (Stillbirth and neonatal death charity), St John Ambulance and DHL. Lyn will co-ordinate campaign activity for Pier’s new logistics clients, as well as Mr Hugh’s cold pressed rapeseed oil and Bisto frozen ready meals.
Pier also welcomes Helen Gilmour, who has been hired as a PR intern; Helen will be working with the existing team at Pier to gain an understanding of the PR industry, via on-the-job and external training, whilst providing on-going support to Pier’s client account teams.
Internally, Sophie French has been promoted to Senior Account Executive. Sophie joined Pier two years ago, having achieved a BA (Hons) Marketing degree and will continue to focus on key accounts: Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, Breathing Buildings and Gressingham Duck.
Pier Director, Kate Bowden Smith, says: “I am delighted to welcome Lyn and Helen to our team on the back of some major new client wins; whilst Sophie’s well deserved promotion is in recognition of her great work and dedication to providing excellent PR service to our clients.”
