Latest news from Pier’s food & drink team on World Vegan Day

We love food. Writing about it, cooking with it, eating it. But what we love most of all is trying something new.

We recently had a team lunch from local vegan café The Greenhouse Café. Wow. Even the committed carnivores had their heads turned by the ‘nossage’ rolls and banana blondies.

Enjoy some of the recent examples of our work, including an integrated campaign for vegan-friendly Pure, the dairy-free spread.

Pure and simple influencer programme

Gluten Free Alice instagram post for Pure

Briefed to promote Pure’s new look and dedicated baking product, we set up a series of strategic partnerships with allergy and lifestyle influencers. Free-from influencers such as Gluten Free Alice (pictured) created bespoke recipes using the product. Reaching a highly target audience in the thousands, the content went down a storm.

Will have to take a trip to Waitrose this sounds amazing 🍰😍

How exciting! I use Pure sunflower for all my baking, can’t wait to try out this new one. Thank you for the tip 👍🏻 😍

The influencer marketing was supported with a complete refresh of the Pure website and a media relations campaign. Take a Break, The Daily Express, The Sun and Pick Me Up! magazine were just some of the national consumer media to feature Pure thanks to our outreach.

Squeezy on chips wows national press

Stokes Sauces squeezy range

Quality condiment and sauces producer Stokes Sauces asked Pier to launch its new range of ‘squeezy’ bottles, including a new Reduced Sugar Tomato Ketchup.

Food trade media was a priority. Branding up a traditional chip van, Pier met and offered samples to influential trade journalists at media house, William Reed HQ. Blanket trade coverage followed, positioning Stokes Sauces as a credible threat to its more established competitors in the ambient category.

Smashing our KPI’s we also achieved fantastic consumer lifestyle coverage including Woman & Home magazine and Fit & Well.

Double celebrations for Barn Farm Drinks

Barn Farm Drinks award

Barn Farm Drinks is a growing juice brand based in Essex. Complimenting a successful media relations strategy, Pier delivered a raft of award entries over the summer.

Among the positive feedback, one judge commented our submission was ‘by far and large the strongest entry’ they had received.

Thanks to our attention-grabbing copy, Barn Farm Drinks took home two new trophies and celebrated being finalists in the prestigious national Future Food Awards.

Craig Williamson (pictured left), owner of Barn Farm Drinks, said:

“We have historically entered awards but Pier really helped up our game. Helping us pull out all the best bits about our business and identifying new award opportunities, Pier’s award entries were consistently successful.

“We now have several extra trophies in our cabinet thanks to their support which make all the difference in setting us apart from our competitors.”
