Building its credentials in the offshore renewable energy sector, Pier has been appointed by the GEV Group, one of the UK’s leading specialist engineering and access companies.
The appointment comes as a direct result of being introduced to the Suffolk agency through its work with offshore energy funding project, SCORE.
Pier has been retained to work with GEV Wind Power, Subsea Masters and Oxifree. Work to-date has included promoting GEV Wind Power’s award winning blade maintenance habitat structure and I-RIS, its maintenance reporting app, Subsea Master’s rig maintenance partnership in the Canary Islands and Oxifree’s protective resin.
David Fletcher, managing director of the GEV Group comments: “Having been introduced to Pier through our involvement with SCORE, we knew we were in good hands. Pier started work on a project to launch a new turbine maintenance habitat for the offshore industry. The team quickly exceeded our expectations and is now employed on a retained basis supplying PR and marketing support across the whole GEV Group.”
Kate Bowden Smith adds: “It’s always great to win business as a direct result of the good work we’ve undertaken on behalf of another client. The diversity of projects and services offered by GEV ensures a constant flow of great news stories, including GEV Wind Power’s award winning Habitat structure that will dramatically reduce blade maintenance days lost due to adverse weather.”
