A year on, East Anglia’s award-winning agency, Pier, is delighted how its work with SCORE (Supply Chain for Offshore Renewable Energy), has helped reinforce East Anglia’s reputation as the leading region for offshore renewable energy.
Since March 2014 Pier has worked closely with SCORE business advisor, Richard Salmon, to undertake a range of integrated marketing activities to raise awareness of the regional funding opportunity. Richard comments: “Pier ‘hit the ground running’, achieving great results and raising awareness of the grant funding opportuning. The team has delivered well above the requirements of the tender.”
Undertaking a strategic communications campaign, Pier achieved over 100 trade, regional and broadcast coverage opportunities for its client, as well as identifying and supporting exhibition opportunities, developing newsletter campaigns, arranging for local MPs to learn more about the fund, and co-ordinating social media activity.
Kate Bowden Smith, director at Pier says: “The SCORE programme really highlights the breadth of innovation in East Anglia and it’s great that the funding has enabled such an inspiring range of SMEs to progress and take forward their innovative ideas. We were delighted to assist nwes and OrbisEnergy in meeting and exceeding the strategic goals of the SCORE programme.”
