To welcome the start of the Moon Festival, Suffolk PR firm Pier has been out with celebrity chef, author and TV personality Ken Hom discussing moon cakes, Mid-autumn traditions and promoting Ken’s range of Oriental meals at Tesco.
The food PR team organised a schedule including TV appearances on ITV, Radio 2 and interviews with key national and regional press. Ken Hom says: “The Moon Festival is the perfect time to get together and is the second biggest occasion in the Chinese calender after Chinese New Year”. Ken is also continuing to celebrate his 30th career anniversary as one of the world’s leading chefs in Asian cuisine.
Pier’s busy PR schedule began with an appearance on ITV’s This Morning programme where Ken was able to catch up with Philip Schofield and Holly Whilloughby. After preparing a healthy beef and black bean stir fry live on one of the nation’s favourite breakfast shows, Ken headed over to BBC Radio 2 where Pier had secured a guest slot on the Steve Wright in the Afternoon programme with Patrick Kielty. To finish off his day, the team organised a live chat on Ken’s own Facebook page.
The following day, Pier kept Ken busy with journalist interviews to round off a successful trip.
