Integrated communications agency Pier has secured the prestigious accreditation from industry body, the PRCA (Public Relations & Communications Association). The Consultancy CMS (Communications Management Standard) recognises excellence in how Pier runs its business, from efficiency in processes to team development.
This latest success follows a very successful six months for the agency, which has secured multiple new business wins including Stokes Sauces, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Energy Systems Catapult and Medway Council.
The Consultancy CMS is an independently audited set of nine core areas. It combines elements of quality standards from ISO 9000 and Investors in People, with criteria specific to the public relations industry.
It is an optional, recognised accreditation scheme for PR agencies, which gives assurance that a company meets high client care and business management standards.
Kate Bowden Smith, Pier’s managing director said: “The PRCA’s Communications Management Standard is seen as the hallmark of PR excellence, so we are delighted to have secured our accreditation.
“CMS provides evidence that the company is well managed and gives us a robust procedure to ensure we have all the correct systems and structures in place, and are dedicating quality time to continuous improvement. For our clients it provides reassurance that Pier positions quality and business improvement at the centre of everything we do.”
Pier is one of over 400 PRCA consultancy members based around the world. These consultancies are of all sizes, working for clients in all business sectors. Representing in excess of 30,000 people, the PRCA is the largest PR membership association in the world.
