Pier PR & Marketing picks up seven award nominations including outstanding public relations consultancy

Pier has been shortlisted for seven awards in the 2017 CIPR PRide Awards which recognise outstanding communications consultancy.

Among the seven nods for Pier PR & Marketing in the prestigious industry awards in the Anglia, Thames and Chiltern region is the highly coveted Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy. This top award recognises achievement, performance and excellence over the last three years.

Shortlisted in three categories is Pier’s campaign with the East of England Co-op on its pivotal Sourced Locally Fortnight, encouraging consumers in East Anglia to shop local. Pier used research to successfully reach millions of consumers with messages about the importance of shopping locally. The Sourced Locally campaign exceeded all its objectives, featuring in countless regional titles as well as achieving substantial features in the Observer newspaper and on BBC Radio 4.

Pier has also been nominated in a further two categories for its work with Spirit Yachts, the Suffolk based luxury yacht builder. Asked to reach new sales prospects for the business, Pier devised a hard-working PR campaign to reach the niche target audience, helping Spirit boost its sales by an incredible 300%.

Kate Bowden Smith, Pier managing director comments: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for seven awards. The team has worked really hard to secure exceptional results for our clients and have shown excellent enthusiasm and dedication. We would also like to thank our clients for their continued support.”

Pier was set up in 2008 to offer superb strategic consultancy, inspired creative solutions and original PR and marketing campaigns that meet and exceed client’s expectations. Clients include ScottishPower Renewables, Kerry Foods and Fenn Wright.

The CIPR award winners will be selected by a team of leading industry experts and will be announced at an awards dinner on the 28th September 2017.
